How to Reach Hanuman Tok
Hanuman Tok is one of the most beautiful and peaceful viewpoints in Gangtok. Located around 11 km from MG Marg, it is more on hieght and more scenic than other viewpoints. You can reach here in 20–25 minutes from Gangtok city center.
Because of its excellent road connectivity, reaching Hanuman Tok is very easy. You only need a taxi or local sightseeing vehicle. Before you reach the Hanuman Tok, you have to reach Gangtok. So there are many ways you can reach to Gangtok and then Hanuman Tok.
By Flight
There are no airports in Gangtok. So you cant’t reach directly to Gangtok or Hanuman Tok by flight. The nearest airports are Pakyong Airport and Bagdogra Airport.
You first reach to one of these airports. After you reach to the airport you can book a local taxi or cab. From both airports, taxis and shared cabs are available for Gangtok.
Once you reach Gangtok, you can simply book a local taxi to Hanuman Tok. There are no entry fee for Hanuman Tok and No permits are required to visit Hanuman Tok.
By Train
There are no railway stations in the Sikkim because it is mountain area. The nearest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri Station. Like airports there are taxis and shared cabs are available for Gangtok. After reaching New Jalpaiguri you can take a taxi or shared cab to Gangtok. From Gangtok you can hire a local taxi to reach Hanuman Tok.
By Road
Traveling by road is the most convenient and the best way to reach Hanuman Tok. Hanuman Tok is 11 km from MG Marg, and the road is smooth, clean, and well-maintained. From there you can reach in 20–25 minutes easily. The route is scenic and passes through beautiful forested hills. So your drive will be beautiful.
